I can’t believe how much I love kopi O kaw (Strong Coffee). Everytime after lunch or dinner I must have a cup of kopi O kaw. One day my wife and I had our dinner at one of the top hotel in KL. I ordered a cup of kopi O, pehhh.. so kawww, hitam, solid and no word to say la. It’s the best kopi O I’ve had so far. So I asked one of the awek waitress what kind of coffee they were serving. She replied Bong Cafe? or Bon Cafe.. I am not sure how to pronounce it at first.
We had searched here and there to find the coffee brand as she suggested, Bong Cafe or Bon Cafe and luckly we found one at Giant Kuantan. It was BonCafe.. huhuhuh.
I bought a bag of the BonCafe coffee and eagerly anticipated making it at home. The smell
of the BonCafe coffee brewing is even more divine that the aroma in the hotel cafe, but yuck.. tasteless, weak and not what I had before this.
So my wife suggested to boil some water and put coffee powder in it. After awhile, she came and passed me a cup of boiled Bon Cafe.
yess.. that was what I tasted at the hotel. Now my wife and I have discovered a trick how to have a cup of coffee like Hi Peng Coffee, Starbuck etc.. the traditional method.
