Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh received a death threat with a live bullet enclosed on Tuesday afternoon.

The death threat and bullet, sent in a yellow envelope, were hand delivered to the DAP chairman’s office by a man at about 12.30pm.. full story here.

The note warned him not to question Malay rights and the sultans’ constitutional powers. It reads:

Kau jangan cuba mempersoalkan keistimewaan orang Melayu (Don’t try to question Malay rights).

Kau jangan cuba mempersoalkan kuasa raja-raja Melayu (Don’t try to question the sultans’ constitutional powers).

Kalau kau tak berhenti!!!! Peluru ini akan melekat pada kepala dahi kau (If you don’t stop, the bullet will be lodged in your forehead).

Ingat kau Bengali! Jangan lupa!!!! Ini adalah amaran pertama…. (Don’t forget, this is the first warning).
