Kerja di offshore : Position yang ditawarkan

Di topics yang lalu aku ada menceritakan basic requirement untuk mereka yang berminat untuk bekerja di offshore. Oleh kerana ada yang menghantar email bertanyakan apa lagi lepas tu, itu dan ini, maka aku sukacita meneruskan topic offshore ni. Kali ini berkenaan dengan position yang ditawarkan di offshore platform.
List di sini mungkin tidak lengkap, tetapi ini adalah antara regular position yang ada di offshore.
Helper - kalau bahasa kasarnya kuli, macam aku lah. Helper task dia membantu sesiapa sahaja yang perlukan bantuan, tak kira apa task sekalipun. Kerja biasanya lebih kepada nak memudahkan kerja-kerja orang lain, termasuklah tukang angkat spannar, bersihkan working area dan housekeeping. Ramai adik-adik lepasan SPM yang apply kerja ni.
Estimated Salary : RM40.00-RM50.00, offshore rate, 12 hours working time.
Rigger - Atas sikit dari helper, nak jadi rigger pun kena join rigging course, bukan boleh pakai redah jer. Tasknya lebih kepada ringging job, lasak, seperti menarik dan menolak bebanan yang berat yang biasanya crane tak boleh operate. Kelebihan untuk mereka yang bertubuh sasa, mat fit tak sesuai.
Estimated Salary : RM80.00-RM100.00, offshore rate, 12 hours working time.
Rigger Scaffolder - Rigger juga tetapi specialize dalam erect scaffolding, bahasa baku panggil perancah, tapi jangan ler sesekali sebut perencah kat offshore, nanti kena gelak dik. Tugasnya erect scaffolding untuk jadikan access platform dan panjat tempat tinggi menggunakan safety hardness.
Estimated Salary : RM80.00-RM120.00, offshore rate, 12 hours working time.
Fitter - Fitter kerjanya fit up weld steel pipe atau structure, biasanya satu team dengan welder.
Estimated Salary : RM90.00-RM130.00, offshore rate, 12 hours working time.
Welder -Welder, tugasnya menyambung pipe atau structure yang telah di fit up oleh fitter. Post ni boleh tahan, kalau banyak “lesen” boleh buat duit banyak. Lesen ni datangnya dari Welder Qualification Test (WQT) .. haaa translate la sendiri, memang dah gitu term nya. Kalau banyak lesen dipanggil multi skill, boleh weld material carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, cuni etc ler. Orang kampung aku cakap juruteri.. wahaha.
Estimated Salary : RM100.00-RM300.00, offshore rate, 12 hours working time.
Blaster – Blaster kerjanya blasts metal surface dengan menggunakan blasting equipment sebelum painter paints sesuatu surface, pipe ke structure ke.. mana-mana lah. Pakaian macam orang nak kebulan, rimas la sikit. Perlu ada IMM courses.
Estimated Salary : RM70.00-RM90.00, offshore rate, 12 hours working time.
Painter – Painter pulak sambung kerja yang blaster dah buat, dia apply paint pada surface tu. Sama la kena pakai pakaian ke bulan jugak. Perlu ada IMM courses.
Estimated Salary : RM70.00-RM90.00, offshore rate, 12 hours working time.
Electrician – Nama pun electrician, kerja-kerja berkenaan dengan electric di platform.
Estimated Salary : RM100.00-RM120.00, offshore rate, 12 hours working time.
Instrument Fitter – Instrument fitter tasksnya berkenaan dengan bahagian instrument, process, tubing etc. Rilex jer kerja ni, tak berat langsung.
Estimated Salary : RM90.00-RM100.00, offshore rate, 12 hours working time.
Crane Operator - Operate platform crane.. huii kena ada course ni, kalau boleh bawak crane di onshore belum tentu boleh bawak crane di offshore.
Estimated Salary : RMxx.00-RMxx.00, offshore rate, 12 hours working time.

Professional posts - Graduates from Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Geology, Geophysics and Petroleum Engineering courses are all of interest to offshore companies in exploration and production activities such as:

Kelayakkan untuk berkerja di offshore
Berminat bekerja di offshore?
Kalau berminat boleh lah apply dengan mana-mana company kat bawah ni. List yang ringkas namun nilah regular players kat sebelah Kemaman ni. Ada banyak lagi offshore company.

Sekarang ni job pun dah kurang, buat masa ni rilex dulu dan tak perlu apply lah.
Lain-lain company ialah seperti Geowell, Schlumberger, Weatherford, Anadrill,Tioman dan banyak lagi lah. Semua service company ni susah sikit nak join sebab kebanyakkan positionnya perlu ada pengalaman. Kalau nak join mungkin boleh tetapi start dari bawah lah.

offshore ni luas field dia.kapal kapal offshore support vassel pun terlibat ngan ofshore gak.so cerita la skit pasal apa tu kapal ssv(straight supply vessel),crewboat,ahts(anchor handling vessel),standby vessel,utility vessel,survey vessel..thank u for information tentang offshore.walaupun aku dah lama berkeliaran ngan kapal kat pelantar pelantar tapi position atas pelantar aku blur trus.

Apa yang aku focuskan kebanyakkan pada construction group kat atas sana nu.
Sesekali ada juga bersembang dengan crewboat, kawan-kawan yang kebanyakkannya dari kaum Iban ni, banyaklah cerita-cerita tentang pengalaman mereka di atas boat / workboat / suppy boat tu.

huh….lama dah aku cari site yg mcm nih…aku sbnrnya mmg minat nak keja offshore…cuma aku takde sijil sijil course.yg ade pun seaman card aje…hehe..nak ambik safety course tu perlu duit jugak..aku mane ade duit nak amik….tapi form tu aku banyak dah amik..boleh ke isi form tu aje tanpa safety course?.. kalau satu satu kompeni tu boleh uruskan untuk aku ambik safety course tu n lepas tu potong gaji bayar…aku nak jugak

Di platform biasanya client lebih menggunakan nama platform yang berakhir dengan ABCDEFGH

Seligi Charlie
….. Seligi Golf etc. Biasanya Alpha ialah MOTHER PLATFORM, means that main platform lah, yang BCDEF semua tu adalah sattelite platform, platform kecik.
Kalau disebelah petronas, Bravo biasanya MOTHER Platform.. Duyong Bravo dan Dulang Bravo ialah MOTHER PLATFORM.

Fitter dengan instrument fitter tak sama. Fitter dalam piping dan structural ni buat kerja fit-up sebelum welder datang sambung weld pipe.
Instrument fitter ni instrumentation punya kerja, banyak berkaitan dengan tubing, instrument fitting, valves etc.
Basic requirement sama jer macam trades lain, nak ada safety passport, sihat tubuh badan, bla bla bla macam aku tulis dalam entry basic requirement ke offshore lalu.
OK ka amoi, terjawab ke tak. Kalau tak sila beritahu ok.

Mechanical Supervisor sebelah client lebih kurang cam ni, sorry lah tak detail. Kita tak pernah jadi client.
Beri work task pada anak buah, repair and maintain machinery, equipments, installation spare part, overhaul, planning operational and maintenance procedures, SUPERVISE kerja anak buah, log book, record bla bla bla.. apa-apa saja yang berkaitan dengan mechanical.
Compare to maintenance supervisor and construction supervisor.

Exxonmobil ada berapa bnyk platform ek? Mana yg paling baru?
Biasanya, rotating equipment atas satu2 platform tu bnyk x? Cthnye pump, compressor. Bukan ape, cuma nak bandingkan dgn equipment yg ada kat onshore plant samada complicated sgt ke atau equipment yg simple n easy maintenance.
Kalau kat onshore ni mmg bmacam jenis equipment.

Exxonmobil ada 42 platforms in 17 fields di Terengganu. Lain-lain tempat di donia wallahuaklam tak check lagi.
Apa yang ada di onshore plant ada juga di offshore platform. Pump, compressor, fire water, water maker, turbines, generator.. vessels banyak lagi lah.

di dalam entry aku yg lain ada aku cerita pasal life di atas platform tu.
Astro ada, video ada, karaoke ada, gym ada, snooker ada, ping pong ada, main 400 pun boleh. Kalau di exxonmobil platform nak call awek ka, wife ka hari2 no problem.. bawak ring-ring card banyak2 sikit. Kalau terlupa bawak card tu pun, kat atas sana ada orang jual.

pali, saya tak pasti kalau ada tempat lain selain INSTEP. Kalau nak kerja sebagai crew boat ada, tapi bukan kerja atas platform ya. Kerja untuk supply boat, vessel, work boat, barge etc untuk platform.

sekarang nie bdk instep byk laku,syarikat yang ada share ngan petronas to 80% ambk bdk instep.Tak kira la petrochemical plants ke,chemical ke oil gas ke offshore ke seme bdk instep.
