Kali ini aku nak berkongsi dengan mereka yang berminat untuk mengetahui cara-cara untuk mendapatkan peluang bekerja di offshore. Sila lihat di sini untuk lihat position yang di tawarkan.
Resume
Macam biasalah, mana-mana company pun nak tengok biodata pemohon. Buat lah satu resume, simple pun takpe dah. Tulis keterangan diri, nama, alamat, contact number, sekolah mana dulu dan sebagainya. Hobi masa lapang, cita-cita itu semua tak perlu lah. Maaf, kadang-kadang aku ada tengok resume macam tu. Nyatakan pengalaman bekerja, dengan company mana sebelum ini dan company sekarang. Gambar sekeping jangan lupa pulak.
Kalau position rigger atau helper attach kan sekali at least sijil SPM. Jangan bimbang kalau SPM tak pass sekali pun, yang penting boleh menulis dan membaca. Kalau ada certificate course yang lain, attach sekali. Cerah peluang kalau anda ada safety course, confine space course, rigging course, scaffolder course dan apa-apa course yang berkaitan dengan position yang anda pohon. Kalau welder, photocopy lesen welder.
Kalau sebelum ni pernah bekerja sebagai welder, fitter, atau rigger di mana-mana plant, peluang tu amat lah cerah, lagi cerah kalau ada safety passport. Kebanyakkan company yang aku tahu di sebelah Pantai Timur ni, mengutamakan mereka yang sudah ada safety pasport, sebab company ni malas nak tanggung cost.
Kalau anda memang tidak pernah bekerja sebelum ni, biasanya akan di panggil first timer, peluang tu tetap ada namun kelebihan biasanya kepada orang yang dah berpengalaman. Rilex, takde yang baru maka takde lah yang lama.. jangan bimbang pasal tu.
Bagaimana nak apply?
OK resume dah siap. So kat macamana nak apply ni.
1- Paling mudah ialah melalui recommendation kawan-kawan yang bekerja di offshore. Mintak dia orang recommend kan. Kalau ada kawan-kawan yang ada cable baik dengan manpower coordinator, lagi bagus. Kalau baik dengan Manager lagiiii bagus. Senang-senang dapat kerja walaupun tak reti pasal offshore. Jangan ingat orang politik jer yang ada kroni.. adik beradik pun ada, anak dengan ayah pun ada .. macam company keluarga dia la pulak. Jangan mintak aku recommend, aku kuli jer.
2- Melalui iklan dalam surat khabar / banner. Kebiasaannya, apa bila ada satu-satu shutdown yang besar, sesetengah company ada mengiklankan walk-in interview. Position yang paling ramai dikehendaki biasanya rigger, helper dan scaffolder. Kerjanya tak lama, paling lama pun sebulan dua jer dan biasanya di panggil SSE, short service employee.
3- Submit resume kepada company-company yang berkaitan pun boleh tapi tengok keadaan lah jugak. Kalau memang perlukan pekerja, dia akan panggil untuk interview, kalau takde tunggu jer lah.
4- Manpower supply. Boleh pergi ke office manpower supply dan apply di sana. Jaga-jaga jangan sampai kena tipu, banyak kes dah. Soal lambat bayar gaji tu biasa lah, sebab manpower supply ni biasanya akan tunggu payment dari company yang mereka supply jugak.
5- Kalau ada kawan-kawan atau saudara mara yang bekerja dengan client, macam Petronas Carigali atau Exxonmobil, boleh mintak dia orang forward kan resume anda pada company-company yang ada contract dengan mereka. Biasalah, nak jaga relationship dengan client, nak ambil hati client.. peluang tu cerah.
6- Last sekali, adik-adik lepasan SPM. Boleh pergi ke INSTEP dan ambil kursus di sana. Bila dah tamat boleh bekerja dengan client macam Petronas dan Exxonmobil. Tapi bukan untuk position rigger, scaffolder etc itu semua. Anda boleh jadi staff dia orang lah.
Company mana yang kita nak apply?
OK. Ini bergantung kepada kerja yang anda nak. Kalau anda berminat dengan kerja-kerja lasak, banyak guna tenaga, letih sampai tak cukup tidur, anda boleh apply dengan company-company drilling, work over, wireline, testing etc yang banyak di Kemaman Supply Base, KSB, Kemaman, Terengganu.
Antara yang boleh anda cuba ialah:

Kalau berminat untuk kerja-kerja maintenance offshore, anda boleh apply di company seperti berikut. Position yang ditawarkan ialah rigger, helper, scaffolder, welder, fitter, blaster painter etc.
1. Vastalux Sdn Bhd – currently contract with Petronas Carigali.
2. Sarku Eng Services Sdn Bhd – currently contract with Exxonmobil.
3. Intraline Resources Sdn Bhd – currently contract with Exxonmobil.
4. Offshore Work Sdn Bhd – currently contract with Talisman
5. Ramunia Fabricator Sdn bhd
6. TJ Oilland Sdn Bhd
7. Sime Darby Offshore Sdn Bhd
8. Dayang Enterprise Sdn Bhd – SKO / SBO contact, Sarawak.
9. Shapadu Energy Engineering Sdn Bhd – umbrella contract with Petronas Carigali.

Berminat untuk bekerja sebagai tukang cuci, atau pun cleaner? Di offshore, ada support team yang bekerja sebagai tukang masak, cleaner etc. Kerja tak berat sangat, cuma boring je 24 jam duduk dalam living quarters.

Sebenarnya banyak lagi company yang ada, apa yang aku tulis di atas hanya lah beberapa company jer. Boleh lah buat research sikit-sikit. Adakah anda layak? Serba sedikit mengenai kelayakkan untuk bekerja di offshore.

electrician .. boleh dapat RM100.00-RM120.00 perday. Biasanya electrician ni daily paid. Tak keje maka takde gaji. Kalau ke offshore 21 hari boleh la dapat 4-5 ribu temasuk OT itu semua.
Kalau monthly paid, tengok jugalah chargeman ka, biasa ka.. boleh dapat 3-4 ribu. Tak sure sangat..
uii.. boleh tahan jugak la ek, makan dah free.. apalagi nak kira..

Kenapa sampai nak resign ni. Mesti ada gaduh dengan big boss ni. Kerja kita orang ni mana ler 8-5 surf blog, mengarut je semua tu. Tapi kalau boss takde, 2nd boss takde, memang ler start dari pagi sampai petang mengadap internet .. kerja-kerja tu esok boleh buat hahaha..
Orang takde degree, takde cert pun ramai yang boleh kerja la puan.. nak dengan tak nak jer.

Saya ngak ngerti maksud bapak. Bapak warga indonesia kini menetap di Malaysia atau di Indonesia?
Begini pak, kebanyakkan pekerja di pelantar sebelah Pantai Timur Semenanjung Malaysia terdiri di rakyat Malaysia. Namun ada jua yang datangnya dari negara lain seperti Filiphino,India,UK,US dan Australia. Mereka ini biasanya level atasan seperti supervisor dan engineer.
Level bawah seperti rigger, fitter welder kebanyakkannya adalah warga tempatan Malaysia. Namun begitu ada jua warga Indonesia yang bekerja di pelantar untuk membuat service job. Contohnya company Hot Hed yang berasal di Indonesia.
Makanya di sini, Hot Hed bukanlah bekerja tetap di pelantar, mereka datang apabila ada service yang perlu mereka lakukan.
gaji instrument fitter berapa? kira daily paid or monthly paid

Gaji untuk instrument fitter ni bergantung juga kepada monthly or daily paid. Kalau monthly paid ni (biasanya staff yang permanent) dalam RM3,500.00 to RM4,500.00 sebulan.
Kalau daily paid worker, RM90.00-RM100.00 sehari, 12 hours working time di offshore.
Walau bagaimana pun rate ini bergantung kepada banyak factors, seperti long or short term contract, location basis etc lah.

Kalau chargeman A1 dah boleh jadi foreman dah. Tapi tengok experiance lah. Offshore field electrical sama je dengan di onshore punya, TETAPI requirementnya tidak sama. Environment nya pun tak sama.
Ada 1st timer offshore ni, electrical crew ni nampak pening sikit kalau tengok equipment di offshore, aku nak explain panjang2 pun, kurang arif sikit pasal electrical ni.

Aku bukanlah yang paling layak untuk menjawab soalan ni, namun apa yang aku pernah baca world oil reserve ni berkurangan sebanyak 2%-3% setahun. So researchers berpendapat minyak dunia akan semakin berkurangan dan mungkin dapat bertahan untuk tempoh 50-60 tahun lagi.
Tambah sikit, bekalan rizab minyak Malaysia kini tinggal 3.9 bilion tong. Pada tahun 1996, kita mempunyai rezab sebanyak 4.3 billion tong. Ini bermakna jumlahnya sudah menyusut.
Namun demikian pengeluaran minyak mentah negara agak stabil antara 690,000 tong hingga 730,000 tong sehari. Kadar ini mencapai purata 720,000 tong ketika tahun krisis kewangan 1999.

marine cargo surveying ni kalau tak silap job task banyak relate to oil loss control, cargo inspection to comply with national and international health and safety, measures ship holds and depth of fuel and water in tanks.. lebih kurang gitu lah. Kawe ni kerja dengan construction company, lebih tepat lagi company untuk maintenance offshore platform. Kawe kuli jer hunter, kais pagi makan pagi kais petang makan petang dah jadi cam ayam la pulak ..
Otai tu jauh sekali hunter, apa yang aku tulis di blog ni semuanya hanyalah secebis pengalaman hampir 10 tahun dalam bidang ni. Dan apa yang aku tulis ni juga merupakan 1% mengenai offshore oil and gas. Masih terlalu banyak rahsia, cerita dan real issues di offshore yang aku tak cover. Sebab aku tak tau semua.

Perbezaan I&E Exxonmobil dengan I&E contractor takde lah banyak bezanya. Masing-masing buat kerja yang serupa jugak, main tubing, Fitting Swagalok, run tubing cam tu la jugak. Kalau dah instrument, sapa2 pun akan layan perkara yang sama. Betul tak..
Tapi I&E sebelah client ni lebih buat kerja yang libatkan platform punya equipment. Macam troubleshot chemical injection punya instrumentation, instrument air line system. Semua equipment yang libatkan intruments, itu kerja dia. Maaf lah aku bab I&E kurang arif.
Contoh kalau contractor side punya kerja, dia fabricate atau run intrument punya spool atau tubing pipe, replace intrument tubing, replace atau remove apa-apa sahaja yang berkaitan dengan kerja-kerja instrumentation. Contractor juga perlu buat site survey untuk dapatkan MTO etc..
itu lah lebih kurang..

Instrument tech ni boleh tahan la rate dia.. aku tak boleh beri rate yang tepat sebab rate ni depend kepada contract value, depend on market price, depend atas company nak bayar berapa kepada technician tesebut dan berapa company tu boleh claim dari client.. itu basic lah kan.
Kalau long term punya contract yang satu-satu company tu dapat dari client maka ratenya biasanya rendah, kalau short term 2-3 bulan mahal la sikit.
OK ini rate yang aku dapat dari member aku, RM210.00 perhour, 12 hours working time at offshore.
Rate instrument tech sebelah client.. tak pasti tapi boleh check lah. Lama tak gi offshore tak jumpa gang-gang tu.
Antara 2 ni mana nak pilih.. haha.. i can say working with client is more secure than contractor side.

Ada beberapa perkara yang perlu diambil kira sebelum bertukar angin ke offshore field. Kilang tak sama dengan offshore.. supervisory di kilang sudah pasti tak sama dengan offshore. Good supervisor di onshore belum tentu boleh jadi good supervisor di offshore..
Biar adik tu masuk mana-mana onshore oil gas company yang relate directly dengan offshore.. kemudian mintak naik offshore. Walau bagaimana pun kalau dia memang hand on punya technician, boleh cuba apply dengan mana-mana oil gas company yang berkaitan dengan field adik anda tu. Good luck.

? Manage company Maintenance Guideline and Maintenance Strategy to achieve the reliability, availability, and KPI targets set by management.

Daily meeting with Operations Manager, Offshore Installation Manager, Production Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor to be up to date on Production and Maintenance activities, areas of concern and actions or resources, to review and analyze operations results and requirements from his group for special support functions.
? Coordinate with Technical Support Engineers to ensure equipment certification and inspection work list is carried out as per the schedule to meet the certification dead line.
? Coordinate with Project Group to ensure all Operations & Maintenance lesson learnt inputs and requirements are incorporated in design, fabrication and installation phases.
? Coordinate / Interface with Original Equipment Manufacturer vendor and other related contractors as required

? Develop projects? costs, AFE?s, cash-calls and expenditure forecasts and ensuring that they are current, accurate and factual. Monitor and steward the projects expenditures and develop and implement cost control measures to ensure that expenditures are within the forecasts and approved AFE?s and budget.
? Review and compile project cost, expenditure, schedule and cash-call reports and ensuing that they are complete, accurate and factual.
? Liaise with Finance Department to compile cash-call reports. Report to be complete and accurate
? Review and conduct audit of Contractor?s costing procedures and physical progress measurements to ensure they comply with the contract requirements.
? Prepare weekly and monthly project progress and expenditure reports for submission to CARIGALI HESS?s Management and Shareholders.

7. EXECUTIVE, PRODUCTION INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
? Plan and implement short/long term forecasts for stocks replenishment and effective spares/materials stocking to ensure availability and uninterrupted supply when needed as well as for inventory optimisation.
? Review, analyze and execute Purchase Requisitions received for stocks replenishment to reconfirm the stock availability and its optimal stock level.
? Manage and control stocks replenishment expediting activities in ensuring the ordered spares/materials are received timely.
? Plan, execute and control the re-utilization of spares/materials surpluses from Development Projects in a prudent manner in order to reduce holding cost and maximize its investment recovery.
? Review and recommend Catalogue Proposal Form (CPF) for approval to introduce new stocks into Production Inventory.
? Jointly conduct quarterly/yearly stock take exercise with Finance, MTJA and shareholders to ensure the integrity and administration of Inventory Account and treatment of stock Variances, if any, are to the full satisfaction of Company & its JV Partners.

aku ni jenis hands-on.. tak reti la duduk kat depan pc lama2.. dalam system SAP, cantek je aku susun system tu base pada P&ID ngan dosseir, padahal tak penah pun tengok actual pump/valve/package.. susah sbenarnya nak justify maintenance task tanpa tengok equipment tu.. Maintenance task buat sekali je, tapi maintenane planning dah plan a head untuk 2 tahun.. (2 years operating)..
Aku ni tengah apply kat bos services, nak mintak kebenaran naik platform pasal nak completekan templete SAP, tengok actual punya equipment lagi senang nak kerja.. tapi sampai la takdak jawapan.. malas la nak tanya 4-5 kali benda yang sama.. Ni la masalahnya bila Boss kita tak tau apa JD kita dan lebih masalah lagi kalau dia tak interested dengan job load kita.. Dah la tak tau apa yang kita kena buat, pastu memang dah tak ada interest nak tahu pun jobload kita, susah senang kita.. nak je aku resign 24hrs, baru pada muka korang takde backup..

6. NDT Inspector (With UT Set)***

* Certified at least by CSWIP 3.1 preferably CSWIP 3.4. Shall have 5 and above years experience in oil and gas sector. He shall work with at least 3 project for PCSB projects or other PSC projects.
** Certificate / dip in E & I ~ Min 3 years experience in E & I. At least 2 projects PCSB projects or other PSC Projects.
*** Certified by examination to CSWIP 3.4 (RT) and he must also have CSWIP / PCN 3.1 (UT) / CSWIP / PCN 3.2 (UT) / CSWIP / PCN 3.8 (Nozzle) or CSWIP / PCN 3.9 (Node) or ASNT Level II or equivalent. 3 years of experience as NDT operator / Inspector preferably in oil and gas sector. He shall work with at least 2 project for PCSB projects or other PSC projects.
**** Valid SHO Cert or equivalent cert from DOSH & NIOSH. Min 6 years experience in HSE Planning, execution, control and monitoring in fabrication yard / plant / offshore platform. He shall work with at least 2 projects for PCSB project or PSC project.

DEPUTY PRODUCTION MANAGER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure provision of a competent onshore operations support and coordination covering daily production operations that meet company business objectives

electrician .. boleh dapat RM100.00-RM120.00 perday. Biasanya electrician ni daily paid. Tak keje maka takde gaji. Kalau ke offshore 21 hari boleh la dapat 4-5 ribu temasuk OT itu semua.

Dan cemaner nak apply?Serta berapa salary dan term keje (keje sebulan cuti sebulan ke aper ker)? Kalo dapat maka mulehlah saya resign sebagai Menteri Pertahanan Kenya.

actually sy nak tanya sikit tentang schlumberger,klu2 bro atau sape2 kat sini yang tau..
semalam baru je dpat call dr HR diorg,offer job utk electronic tech base kat kemaman or labuan. masa interview itu hari dia ada ckp gaji utk trainee tech +/- rm3800.
untuk keje di base(kemaman/labuan) itu gaji mati ke or ada lagi elaun2 lain? saya susah sikit nak dpt info ttg SLB ni,bila tnya org,mcm selindung2 jer. dapat ni pun cuba try je dulu,tapi alhamdulillah lah,dah sampai tahap ni. next week dia suruh report kat KL,raya haji tu huhu..

saya berminat kerja offshore berpengalaman sebagai radio operator, ex airforce,
skrg bekerja dengan syarikat penerbangan dibahagian operasi. Dah mencuba
di pelbagai company tapi mereka nak on free lance je buat masa ni, i nak on permanent
basis kalu contract yang bole disambung2 ok juga.
Kalu ade sape2 bole tolong amatlah dihargai….
