Math prodigy now a £130 an hour hooker
March 31st, 2008 by eddyra on LifeWho in their right mind wants to be a hooker? Or were they when asked about their ambitions by their primary school teacher, answered dreamily, when I grow up, I want to be a prostitute, teacher.

I was really shocked when I read that the child Maths genius who won a place at Oxford University when she was just 13, has been found to be working as a prostitute. You can read it here.

She claimed that she had posted her services for £130 (RM829) on the internet and she had called herself Shilpa Lee. The former child prodigy still juggles with figures on a hookers’ website, describing herself as a “very pretty size 8, 32D bust and 5′5″ tall - available for booking every day from 11am to 8pm.”

OMG.. she has moved into prostitution due to financial problem.
According to The Independent, she disappeared at the age of 15 the day after her third-year exams. She was eventually found living in Bournemouth and working in a hotel.
Two years later, she returned to Oxford to complete her final year, but failed to finish her degree. She later married a trainee lawyer from Oxford. She was working at the time as an administrative assistant for a construction company.
Malaysia math genius become hooker genius.. thats hurt!

I asked myself, why in Malaysia, has there been nothing done to address this social issue?
Of course, newspapers always reported successful operations and raids by the authorities, but one glaring fact is the missing information on how many of them are locals, and always provided.. the numbers being detained who are foreigners.
It seems that there are no local prostitutes in Malaysia. I don’t buy that. Go to any establishment which offer massage services and you can easily find one.
I agree, what they did is a sin. No doubt about that. But we should not judge them negatively just because that is what our community’s general view of prostitution.
I asked a religious teacher, ‘What is Islam answer to prostitution and how to eradicate it?’ I was not surprised when he went overboard with his reply, saying again and again that prostitution is sinful, haram plus the usual prostitute demonizing speech.
I rephrased my question. ‘What if your relatives, or God forbid, your children is actively involved in vice, what would you do?’
He sarcastically remarks. ‘Son, I am from a good family, there is no way that will happen’ Seeing him still missing the point, I gave up my conversation with him.

what a waste…she comes from a very unfortunate background..her father himself is a child molester and now serving his jail term..serve him right! his children are been forced to study according to his style and way…now we can see what happen to her..she becomes very rebellious and prostituting is a way to take revenge and at the same time to earn money to support herself…whatever it is i hope she will go back to the right path…

Mind you, on the plus side, at £130 an hour she probably needs to work only one hour a week to pay the rent in a dump like Salford.
I bet she’s far from the only student or former graduate on the game, although you’d think with something like a maths degree she could find some occupation more suited to her talents and qualifications.

What a terrible waste of a young life - her parents do not deserve to have kids - this lass is now rebelling for years of torment at her fathers hands - we all want our children to be well educated but not at the expense of their childhood - there has 2 be a balance between schoolwork and play - her father deserves horsewhipping for what he has done 2 this lass
