Bored at work
April 29th, 2008 by eddyra on LifeI know I am bored. But sometimes I don’t think I am bored, but then, I don’t care if I am, because I have so many things to do. And because I have so many to do I am bored.
Cool I am bored like hell..
Let me tell you another one of my boring stories. I love my current job but these days it seems so boring, I am really not sure if I should try at something new or just carry on hoping that things get better.
Actually working here is OK especially when this work is in my area of interest plus the fact that I earn enough money to support my family but sometimes I get bored of doing the same thing everyday.
I work in the operation department as a workpack engineer cum surveyor. Usually work with oil and gas client, sub-contractors, suppliers and offshore crews. I receive the work request from client once a week or twice a week and what I have to do is to study the isometric drawings and then pass to draughtman to prepare the material take off.
He will then return me the drawings and material take off. I open the contract rate booklet and calculate the price for manpower, equipment, consumable and materials. Compile them and submit to the boss for approval. My boss normally doesn’t ask anything. .. yawnnn!
Once client approves my proposal, we start the work. Updates here, updates there, updates everywhere .. monitoring the work from start to finish. If there is a problem at offshore, fly there if neccassary, if not just monitor from office. That’s all. So doing those things repeatedly every day make them not so exciting anymore.
It’s pretty cool and rilex job, I got so much time for blogging like this, but for how long I wanna stay like this, I wonder!
I wish that I can get more exposure in this field.

Polluted beache around Ganu.. jap deh pikir-pikir jap.. mana eh? Paka ada TCOT, ada OGT, Kerteh Terminal.. itu semua ada onshore plant tu. OGT beach suspected ada mercury..

hhmmm…saya kalau boring kerja saya makan chocolate. Favourite. Bila makan tu…aduh…. layan habis. Saya bleh habis chocolate besar dlm masa 10 minit je. Sbb choc bleh release tension

Saya tak suka gula-gula, saya suka coklat. Makan memang tak ingat donia lah.. coklat release kan tension.
Tapi kalau boring, makan sekilo coklat pun, boring jugak..

kerja mmg ada masa membosankan. Bagi saya byk kerja lg bagus drpd x de kerja. Orang kata lagi lama kita belajar sesuatu lagi bagus. Lagi lama kita kerja lagi byk pengalaman. Lagi banyak pengalaman lagi byk masyuk. Lagi banyak masyuk lagi banyak keluar. At the end mcm x cukup je.Kawal nafsu.

Ala puan fatiah takkan lah itu pun nak marah… saya maner lah tau sangat pasal nie coz masih muder lagi… n sayer masih bujang… gurau jer pasal tue… yg sayer tau setiap orang ader ragam tersendiri… tak semuanyer same… kalo semua nyer samer macam yang puan fatiah cakap tue hancurlah dunia nie… tak terkecuali jugak husband puan fatiah kan…

I think u should found other job, I also thinking your job are too bored coz everyday u have to do the same thing there have no special in your day. I’m a nurse, I think my job are better than u coz everyday i facing human and disease. Once in the blue moon, i get bored also that’s when my sister score me if somebody complaint me, otherwise my life is always happy and go lucky. But honestly my salary really not enough for me this is the big problem for me
