Lowering Nicotine in Cigarettes Could Boost Quitting

If cigarettes contained lower amounts of nicotine, it would facilitate people smoking less and finding it easier to quit smoking. The study conducted by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, and San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center.

I wonder if the tobacco companies reduce the amount of nicotine, their sales might drop. Will government implement this? I dont think the government will do that because it is by means of tobacco and cigarette that has built up this country and ensures it continues to reap huge financial profit.

If instruction comes frm WHO I guess it will be followed and I doubt sales will drop.
