Salman Rushdie, Satanic Verses and the theater.

Posted eddyra by on news

The late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini has pronounced a fatwa in 1989 that called on Muslims to kill Salman Rushdie, the author of Satanic Verses. The book was considered by many Muslims to be blasphemous and its author to be an apostate. His book, which was published in 1988, had caused a storm of protest on its first publication, almost 20 years ago.

There had been book-burnings and riots, death threats and indeed actual deaths. A reward was offered of £1.6m to kill him. The book’s Italian translator was stabbed and his Norwegian publisher shot, but both survived.

Math prodigy now a £130 an hour hooker

Posted eddyra by on Life

Who in their right mind wants to be a hooker? Or were they when asked about their ambitions by their primary school teacher, answered dreamily, when I grow up, I want to be a prostitute, teacher.

I was really shocked when I read that the child Maths genius who won a place at Oxford University when she was just 13, has been found to be working as a prostitute. You can read it here.

Sufiah Yusof aka Shilpa Lee

She claimed that she had posted her services for £130 (RM829) on the internet and she had called herself Shilpa Lee. The former child prodigy still juggles with figures on a hookers’ website, describing herself as a “very pretty size 8, 32D bust and 5′5″ tall - available for booking every day from 11am to 8pm.”

OMG.. she has moved into prostitution due to financial problem.

According to The Independent, she disappeared at the age of 15 the day after her third-year exams. She was eventually found living in Bournemouth and working in a hotel.

Two years later, she returned to Oxford to complete her final year, but failed to finish her degree. She later married a trainee lawyer from Oxford. She was working at the time as an administrative assistant for a construction company.

Malaysia math genius become hooker genius.. thats hurt!

Fitna the Movie

Posted eddyra by on news

What a shame for Geert Wilders to start with the burning towers in New York as an example of Islamic cruelty and hate.

The film begins with a warning ‘This movie contains disturbing materials.’ The Al Quran appears, followed by an imam singing verses from it about fighting the infidels.

Two planes are seen flying into the World Trade Center in New York City. After that the buildings are burning and hear a telephone conversation between a woman trapped inside the WTC and a 911 operator. The woman is panicking and fears she’s going to die. “It’s so hot, I’m burning up,” she says.

Next, another attack, followed by leading terrorists and extremists telling fellow Muslims that Allah requires of them to fight ‘infidels’. After that come images of severely tarnished bodies, all victims of terrorism.

Sweetness taste-buds

Posted eddyra by on joke

Look what I found in my inbox today..

This happened at a major Irish University, during a biology lecture. A professor was discussing the high glucose levels found in semen.

A young woman raised her hand and asked, ‘If I understand you correctly, you are saying there is as much glucose in male semen as in sugar?’

The professor responded, ‘yes, that’s correct’, adding some statistical data to his lecture.

Raising her hand again, the girl asked, ‘Then why doesn’t it taste sweet?

After a stunned silence, the whole class burst out laughing. The poor girl turned bright red, and as she realized exactly what she had inadvertently said, she picked up her books and without another word, walked out of the class. However, as she was heading for the door, the professor’s reply was a classic.

Totally straight faced, he answered her question:
It doesn’t taste sweet because the taste-buds for sweetness are on the tip of your tongue and not in the back of your throat‘.

If you do not understand, well it’s OK :)

How Many Lives Just for a Coat

120 nude activists stripped naked on January 22, 2007 in Barcelona city center to represent one of the more than 120 chinchillas it takes to make just one fur coat. The activists lay as if they were dead-sprawled across the ground behind signs asking, “How Many Lives Just for a Coat?”

The “die-in” was organized by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Europe and AnimaNaturalis. “I’ll gladly bare my skin if it will help save animals’ skins,” says one of the activists.
