Bangkok is one of 13 large cities at risk of being swamped as sea levels rise in the coming decades, according to the recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change held in Khun Samut Chin.

The cities include Dhaka in Bangladesh, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Jakarta in Indonesia, Shanghai and Tianjin in China, Mumbai and Kolkata in India, Tokyo and Osaka-Kobe in Japan, Lagos in Nigeria, Alexandria and Cairo in Egypt, Karachi in Pakistan, and New York and Los Angeles in the United States, according to studies by the United Nations and others.

The city is rumored to be sinking an average of 2 inches a year as it lies entirely on a swamp. Some reports says that the city is sinking as much as 4 inches a year, and this combined with the sea level rising will leave Bangkok under 50 cm to 100 cm of water by 2025.

In 2001, Matthew McKnight the volunteer firefighter stopped at Interstate 376 in Monroeville, to help out the victims of an accident. While trying to help the victim, he was then hit by a car and thrown in the air for 118 feet. The funny thing is, the distance entitled him to a world record called “Greatest Distance Thrown in a Car Accident” in the book’s 2008 edition.

The man lived, but suffered two dislocated shoulders plus a broken shoulder, pelvis, leg and tailbone.

Q. So what made you get started with AdSense?

A. I was looking for a way to monetize some of my websites. AdSense is such an easy thing to get started with the eye for it would be a great way to start earning more money without actually putting into much more effort. A. Probably the biggest mistake people make is thinking the AdSense earnings are easy to achieve. It is very easy to get started but as I learned it takes a lot of effort to increase your earnings. I got really downhearted whenever I would log in to my account to see that I had only made a few dollars. And that’s when I decided to spend months and months of my time learning everything I could about AdSense.

I basically buried myself away and devoured every single piece of AdSense information I could find. I ran thousands of AdSense tests and started to see a dramatic effect on my click through ratio and therefore on my earnings.

This is why I’d decided to record the videos - because I knew that it would help people who were in my position to also increase their earnings. I’ve read an absolute ton of AdSense e-book’s but they take so long to go through and always seem to keep information back.

With AdSense Videos I knew that I had to tell the story exactly as it is and actually show people and lead them by the hand through the exact techniques that I use to generate large earnings from AdSense.

Q. In your videos you show people how to increase their AdSense earnings - can you give us a taster of this advice?

But some of the more basic things that you can do to increase your revenues include using ads that blend in rather than stand out from your content. Flat out the worst thing you can do with an AdSense ad is make it look like the standard Google ad. What you need to realise is that you will get more clicks if your ad actually appears part of your site rather than something that’s just been dropped into the page.

ALOR STAR: A 14-year-old girl sustained minor injuries when she jumped out of the window of a double-storey building to escape from two men who were trying to molest her.

The incident occurred at about 1.30pm on Wednesday at Taman Wira here. According to her father, who declined to be named, the girl was with her mother at a sundry shop when the men, in their 20s, called her for a chat.

He claimed the men had grabbed his daughter and took her to their rented room located on the upper floor of a shop house, located several metres from the sundry shop.

“They tried to molest her in the room. My daughter fought them and managed to escape by jumping out of the window,” he said.

He said his daughter suffered cuts in her arms and sprained her ankles during the escape. It is learnt the girl ran back to the shop and told her mother of the ordeal. Several men then went to the room and caught the two suspects. Kota Star CID chief chief Deputy Supt Fiesal Libertus Abdullah confirmed the case.

He said police are looking for two other men to shed more light on the incident.

The oldest Rolls-Royce in the world was sold for a record £3.5 million at auction in London. An anonymous British bidder won the auction by telephone bid, paying twice the estimate for the car. The car was initially estimated at around £1 million but frenzied bidding left the value at £3,521,500, the highest ever paid for a car in the veteran class.

The 10bhp Rolls-Royce which is in perfect working order was built in 1905 and was the fourth car to be built by the Charles Rolls/Henry Royce partnership. Only three other 10-horsepower Rolls-Royces are known to survive.

The previous record for a veteran car was the 1.76 million pounds paid for an 1884 De Dion Bouton, while that for a Rolls-Royce was the 1.48 million pounds paid for a 1912 Silver Ghost Double Pullman Limousine.

Woww.. a 10 horsepower motor for £3.5 million. I wonder how many 2007 cars will be running and still looking presentable in 2110. Hopefully our grandchild or future generation can see first Proton Saga in 2110 with good running condition.. perghh.
